What is a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush? How do I use it? Read this blog post and watch the video to find out some tips and tricks for using your Wink of Stella.

Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

What is Wink of Stella? It is glitter in a pen form. This pen has a brush tip so you can brush the glitter on your project or embellishment just to add a bit of bling to anything. It’s basically the finishing touch for every project!

When you receive your Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, it looks like the bottom brush in the picture. It has that black ring in the middle to keep it from seeping out while in storage or in transit. So, the first think you need to do after you take it out of the package is remove that ring. Here’s how:

Remove Black Ring

Take the cap off and screw off the brush head. The ring should just slip off the reservoir if you tip it toward your table. Then screw the brush head back on. Your pen has been taken out of travel mode. (Sounds technical doesn’t it.)

Activate the Brush

The next step in getting your Wink Of Stella working is to first, shake the pen so all the flakes are floating in the liquid, then, squeeze back end of the pen. You want to squeeze this until you start to see some of the liquid glitter filling the little reservoir right behind the brush. Sometimes you’ll actually get a droplet of glitter onto your work surface, so don’t do this over a project. Do this over a scrap piece of paper. Once you have liquid glitter on the brush, you are ready to start spreading the bling on your project!

Did You Know

Did you know you can extend the life of your Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush? How? You ask. Well, let me tell you.

Refill your Wink of Stella Glitter Brush

Just like you did when removing the black ring, remove the cap and unscrew the brush head from the body of the pen. Next, carefully remove the black insert from the body of the pen. Place this onto a scrap piece of paper. Add plain rubbing alcohol to the body of the pen, making sure you only fill about 2/3 of the way. If you fill it any higher than that, it will overflow when you replace the insert. Replace the insert and screw on the brush head. Shake and squeeze the body of the pen to get the liquid flowing back into the brush.

How Do You Know?

How do you know if your Wink of Stella Glitter Brush is empty? Or if you can or can’t refill it again? Hold your pen up to a strong light source or sunlight. You can see the liquid in the pen body’s reservoir. You should also be able to tell if there are glitter clumps in there, especially if you haven’t shaken it yet. You’ll see dark areas where the glitter is resting against the sides. If you see dark areas, you probably have enough glitter to refill the brush.
