Zig Zag Card

Today, we’re making one of these zig zag cards. You’ll love how easy this card is to make. Make a zig zag card today and send it to someone you haven’t seen in a while. This card technique can be made in several different configurations. As you can see in the picture above, I have two landscape cards, one with the zig zag on the bottom of the card and one with it on the top of the card. The third card is portrait with the
zig zag along the left edge of the card. It is totally up to you which configuration you want to use. Have fun and let me know what configuration you used!

Instructions

making the zig zag of the zig zag card

You can make this quick, easy card in less than 15 minutes start to finish. Your first step is to take the 5 pieces of DSP and with 3 of them fold the top right corner down until it makes a triangle and meets the left side. Turn ir around and repeat the same process. You’ll want 3 of these. Now take the other 2 pieces of DSP and fold from the top left corner down to the right side. Turn them around again and repeat making 5 parallelograms. Three of them facing one way and two of them facing the other way.

The next step is to start with the shape that you made three of and start at one end of your card front. Alternate placing them down on the card as shown in the picture so you have a zig zag pattern on your card. It might be easier if you use some removable tape such as dotto or tombow removable tape to stick them down temporarily just to get them in the right spot. Once you have them positioned to your satisfaction, you can adhere them down to the card front.

Finishing Up

stamping on the zig zag card

Once you have the zig zag adhered down on your card, you are ready to stamp and assemble your card. Hopefully, by now you’ve decided on the configuration of the card. Whether you make it portrait or landscape, the process is still the same. You’ll want to pick out a sentiment and stamp it in the empty space on the card. Be sure to leave enough space for your ribbon to lay between your sentiment and your zig zag. After you’ve stamped the sentiment, adhere the card front to the mat. Place your ribbon on the card. And finally, adhere the card front onto the card base. There you have it, you’ve made a Zig Zag Card in no time at all!
