Valentine Box

Valentine Box

Hi everyone, The past two blog posts focused on Valentine’s Day. Today we’re making a Valentine Box. This box would be perfect for making a classroom full of Valentine’s. You can put conversation hearts or Dove Chocolates or a mini Kit Kat or two inside.

You can make this from Basic White Cardstock or I’ll put in the Supplies List a similar sized box that Stampin’ Up! has in their January-June 2022 Spring Mini. Then all you have to do is assemble. No cutting or scoring required.

Supplies List

  • Basic White Cardstock, 9¼ x 3¾”, score long side at ½, 1 1/8, 4 5/8, 5¼, 8¾”, score both short sides at 5/8″
    OR

Cutting Instructions

Once you’ve scored your cardstock, cut it so it looks like the picture. For complete step by step instructions, follow the YouTube video below.

Be sure to round the corners of the lid.

Assembling the Valentine Box

Add adhesive to the outside strip along one side of the box. Fold in the little tab at the bottom, add adhesive onto the tab, then fold over the flap from the front of the box. Do the same on both sides.

Layer the DSP and the Real Red pieces. Attach these to both sides of the box. Cut out the envelope from the Sweet Hearts Dies and assemble it. Stamp a conversation heart onto the 1×1¾” piece of Basic White Cardstock and place it inside the envelope. Adhere the envelope onto the front of the box. Add your bow and you have a Valentine Box. Quick and Easy!
