Today we have a guest blogger! KJ Driscoll, my upline, created this Dragonfly slimline card using the Dragonfly Garden Bundle in the Spring 2021 Mini Catalog.
This slimline card is a little unique in size, but it is made that way specifically so as to not waste the Designer Series Paper (DSP). With this size, you get 4 pieces from a 6 x 6 piece of DSP for the top of the card.

Stamping and Coloring
Stamp the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set onto one of the 3 x 5 Basic White card pieces. Color the flowers with the watercolor pencils.
Blend out your pencil strokes with the blend pens to give you a smooth finish to your coloring.
Next stamp the inside of the card with your sentiment and the butterflies.
While you’re stamping, stamp the big dragonfly onto a scrap piece of white cardstock and punch it out with the dragonfly punch. Color this with the watercolor pencils and use your Wink of Stella glitter brush to give it a shimmery finish.
You can also use the Wink of Stella glitter brush on the butterflies on the inside of the card.
Card Base
Cut a section 3¼ x 3¼” out of the upper left corner of the card base. Next attach the white cardstock with the flowers to the front of the card and the white cardstock with the sentiment and butterflies to the inside of the card. Make sure the inside white piece is below the area you cut off.
Close the card and attach the 3 x 3″ piece of patterned paper on the exposed face of the card where you cut out the top area. Attach your dragonfly here with dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
Stamp “For a True Friend” on a scrap of Seaside Spray Cardstock. Punch it out with the Label Me Pretty punch, making sure the sentiment is over to the left of the punch out. Cut the right side straight so it will align with the side of the cardstock. Attach this to the front of the card with dimensionals. Attach a Ladybug Trinket with a glue dot under the sentiment.
