Making the Flowers

Sponge Magenta Madness onto Mango Melody cardstock.

First, take the larger of the two pieces of Mango Melody cardstock and ink it up randomly with the Magenta Madness ink and a sponge dauber. Don’t make any patterns. Be random. You’ll need to have some of each color showing through. Once you’ve completed this, you’ll need the piece of Basic Black and the two large dies in the Many Layered Blossoms Dies set.

Cut out the Basic Black piece with the thin flowers and the Mango Melody/Magenta Madness piece with the thick set of flowers. You may need a shim and send it back and forth through your die cutting machine a couple of times to get a sharp cut. Although they do cut very well, I send them through a couple times just to make sure all the tiny bits get cut.

Assembling the Flowers

Glue the black set of flowers onto the Mango Melody/Magenta Madness set of flowers. Then glue these onto the Basic Grey piece of cardstock. The next step is the ribbon. Take the longer of the two pieces of ribbon and wrap it around the card about an inch up from the bottom. Use transparent tape to adhere it to the back of the Basic Gray cardstock. Once this is done, tie a half knot with the other piece, looping it around the first piece. Cut off your ends into nice angled ends.

Assembly of the Blossoms in Bloom Card

The last two steps for the outside are the sentiment and mounting it onto the card base. At this point, you can mount your Basic Gray piece onto the Basic Black card base. If you have the black dimensionals, this is the perfect card to use them on. That way they will blend in with the colors of the card better than the white dimensionals would.

For the sentiment, use the “Thinking of You” from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and stamp it with Versamark onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock. Sprinkle White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and heat it until the powder is set. Punch out your sentiment with a small oval punch. Mount the oval on top of the ribbon. The outside is finished. Now for the inside!

Inside of the Blossoms in Bloom Card

The inside of the card is the easy part. Take one of the small flower stamps from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp set and mount it. Stamp the last piece of Mango Melody cardstock three times without reinking. Place these in the lower right corner with this stamp using the Magenta Madness ink. Mount this to the inside of the card base. Your card is finished!

This bundle makes gorgeous cards in any number of beautiful color combinations. The inspiration for this color combination came from Pinterest from Lori Willcox. Thank you for sharing your creations with the world. I hope I’ve done this Blossoms in Bloom card justice.
