Make this simple masculine card with just stamps, ink and paper. Not all cards need advanced techniques or multiple layers. Sometimes a simple card makes just the right statement needed. This quick, easy, card looks harder than it actually is.
Supplies
- Night of Navy Cardstock for base of card, cut to 11 x 4¼, scored at 5½”
- Masculine Designer Series Paper (DSP)2 7/8 x 4 1/8″, 2 5/8 x 2 5/8″,
- Gold Foil cardstock 3 x 4½”, 2¾ x 2¾”, and 2 x 2″
- Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock (whichever fits with your DSP)
1 7/8 x 1 7/8″ - Night of Navy Ink
- Happy Birthday sentiment from any number of stamp sets.
Instructions
Stamp the Happy Birthday in Night of Navy or a coordinating ink on the 1 7/8″ square sheet of cardstock. Layer that onto the 2″ square piece of foil. Additionally, layer the other two pieces of DSP onto the appropriate sized foil.
Once you’ve done all the layering, you start putting them onto the card base. You should place the first and largest piece to the left side of the card base and centered top and bottom. The 2¾” square piece goes toward the bottom right, overlapping the first piece.
The smallest piece, the one with the sentiment on it goes toward the top and centered. This should offset all three so they look nice. The top layer can have dimensional adhesive to give a bit of depth. The only thing left is to put a piece of cardstock in the center for writing and signing.
In less than 10 minutes, this card could be just the thing for the guy in your life. A simple masculine card to let him know how much you care.
