Great Addition to Easter Baskets
These adorable Ghiradelli Treat Holders are a great addition to Easter Baskets. Or it is a quick and easy craft you can do with your kids at home.
Supplies Needed
For this project you will need a piece of Whisper White Cardstock (WWCS) cut to 8 x 2″. Score the long side of this at 3″ and 6″. You’ll also need a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) of your choice cut to 6 x 2″, score the long side at 3″.
Additionally, you’ll need a scrap piece of WWCS, approximately 12″ of ribbon, 6″ Baker’s Twine, the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, the Darling Label Punch, and The Easter Greetings stamp from the Fable Friends Stamp Set
Instructions
Take your scored 8 x 2″ piece of WWCS and punch the end with the 2″ length from the score line with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to give a nice finished end. Fold and crease all score lines on both the WWCS and the DSP. Next, adhere the DSP to the two 3″ sides of the WWCS, leaving the end with the tag topper bare. Fold together and wrap the ribbon of your choice around and through the hole in the tag topper. Tie a pretty bow to keep it all together.
Decorate
Use the scrap piece of WWCS and the Easter Greetings Stamp from the Fable Friends Stamp Set to stamp your greeting. Punch it out with the Darling Label Punch which is part of the Darling Label Punch Box Set. Once you have your sentiment punched out, you might want to punch or poke a small hole in the top to thread Baker’s twine through. Also, optional is to flick the edges with ink and a sponge dauber, just to give the edges a bit of color and dimension. Thread this with the Baker’s Twine and attach to the ribbon on the treat holder. You should be able to slip a full sized Ghiradelli chocolate snugly inside. And you’re done! You have a pretty little Ghiradelli Treat Holder to slip into your Easter Basket.
You could also make these other times of the year. Just change up the DSP to suit the season. Check out out full catalog here. You can make many of these Ghiradelli Treat Holders in just a few minutes. They would also be an easy craft to do with your kids.
