Forever Blossoms Card

forever blossom card

This card is made using the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up! I’ve made it a tone-on-tone #simplestamping card that is a quick and easy card to put together. It uses the double leaf stamp, the single cherry blossom stamp and one of the sentiment stamps from this very versatile stamp set.

Stamping

The first step in making this card is to round 2 diagonally opposite corners on the card base and all 3 mats with the Detailed Trio Punch. Once you’ve completed this step, take the double leaf punch and the ink that is the same color as your card base, and stamp the leaf figure all the way around the outer edge of the card front. Next take the cherry blossom stamp and stamp once in one color in the middle of the smallest piece of WW cardstock. Make sure when you stamp, that your rounded corners are consistent with your card base. Remember, we want a landscape card. Now stamp again in the other ink color to either side of the center flower. Lastly, stamp the sentiment in the darker color along the bottom of the cardstock. You’ve completed all the stamping.

Assembly

Forever Blossoms Card

Layer the dark piece of colored cardstock onto the larger of the WW cardstock. Adhere the smaller WW cardstock onto the other two. You can pop these or adhere them flat. Either way looks fine. When you adhere these onto the card base, center them side to side, but not top to bottom. You want them to be cheated a bit toward the top of the card. Once you adhere all three to the card, you can take an 1/8″ hole punch and punch holes under the layers to thread the linen thread or baker’s twine through. Wrap this through twice and tie in a knot on the front of the card.

To finish off the card, color some clear Wink of Stella in the centers of the flowers to give it some glitz. Add flat backed pearls as a final touch and you’ve got a beautiful card made with the Forever Blossoms Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set.
