Stamping Instructions
Card Front
The first step is to tear the right side of one of the sheets of Crumb Cake Cardstock. Now you know where you can stamp without interfering with the tear.
Next, on that same sheet of cardstock, stamp the water and birds from the High Tide stamp set and the sentiment and the girl dancing from the Beautiful You stamp set as shown in the picture. You’ll also need to stamp the girl on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Stamp the water in Soft Suede ink and, to give it depth, stamp several times before re-inking. Stamp all the rest in Early Espresso ink. Fussy cut out the girl from the Whisper White cardstock. You don’t want her arms or legs, just her hat, through the bottom of her dress. Color her dress and hat with a watercolor pencil. Adhere the cut out piece on top of the stamped image on the crumb cake card front.
Sponge in Soft Suede around the edges of the card front to give it an aged look.
Card Inside
Stamp the water in Soft Suede just like you did on the front of the card. Stamp the flying birds and the wading birds in Early Espresso. Sponge around the edges in Soft Suede to give it an aged look. Adhere this to the inside of the Early Espresso card base. Set these aside.
Assembly of the Card Front
Take the Soft Suede mat and adhere the Scalloped Lace Trim on the edge so it will show out from under the upper layer of cardstock. Next wrap the Linen Thread around the card front twice and tie in a bow. Adhere the card front onto the soft suede cardstock and adhere these onto the card base.
Even the most difficult card, when broken down into steps can be easy. All you need to do is take it one step at a time. Here you’ve made the Dance Through Life Card. A card that, on the surface, looks hard, but when broken down, is actually very easy. I hope you’ll try my Dance Through Life Card and send it on to someone who you care about. Have a stampendous day!
