Preparation
Stamp the largest sunflower in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set in Night of Navy onto a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock. Cut it out with the sunflower outline die in the Sunflower Dies set. Next, take the piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and use the detailed sunflower die and cut it out.
Adhere these to each other with the detailed cut out on top to form the sunflower for the focal point on the card.
Next, cut out the leaves and the detailed leaf cut outs (2 of each) from Old Olive cardstock and the Wheat stalks from Cinnamon Cider cardstock. Adhere the leaf sections together and color the wheat stalks with Wink of Stella.
Stamp your sentiment with Night of Navy Ink on the scrap of Whisper White. This piece should be approximately ¾ a 3½”. Flag both ends of this after it has been stamped. I used a sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set.
All your pieces are prepared. At this point, you can adhere the sentiment to the blue sunflower.
Assembling the Blue Sunflower Card
Adhere the DSP onto the Cinnamon Cider mat layer, then adhere these onto the Bumblebee Card base. The wheat is the next layer to adhere down. But, you’ll need to position the central flower and leaves without adhesive so you know where to place the wheat. Once you know where the wheat goes, place that down, then the leaves. The blue sunflower is adhered with dimensional adhesives. When you place this down, make sure the sentiment is straight.
And there you have the beautiful Blue Sunflower Card made with the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle. It makes an advanced card pretty easy to assemble and will wow whomever you send it to.
