Arrowhead Card

Hi Everyone, Today we’ll be making this elegant arrowhead card. It is a very simple fun fold card. You can make it fun or elegant. It can be both. I’ve just chosen to use the butterflies to make mine more elegant.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) in my card is retired, but you can choose any DSP that matches your cardstock color or theme. Check out the Hey Chick Card after the video!

Scoring

The two most important things about the arrowhead card are the scoring and folding. If you do those right, you’re card will turn out awesome!

Line the short side of your card base up in your trimmer at 2¾” and make a tick mark. Then turn the paper 90 degrees counter clockwise so your tick mark is to the left and line the long side up at the 2 1/8″. Make a tick mark at the top and bottom of your card.

Next you want to line up your 2¾ tick mark and one of the 2 1/8″ tick marks along the scoring channel of your trimmer and score between the two on both sides. Do the same with the center fold and the 2¾ mark on both sides of the card. This is more easily done with a trimmer than with your scoreboard because you won’t run the risk of jumping tracks.

For the DSP, make a tick mark along the long side at 2 5/8″. Then you’ll cut from the 2 5/8 mark to the opposite corners to form 2 smaller right triangles and a larger triangle in the center.
