Hi All! Boy March was a super busy month. I didn’t get much posted, as you can see. Today’s card is one I’m super excited about. It is a double pop up card. This card is not only a fun fold card, but it is an interactive card. You can make it with any stamp set. I found this card on the Split Coast Stampers website and had to make my own. There are a lot of pieces to this card. Be sur to watch the video embedded below for complete step-by-step details on assembling this card! The two small squares on the inside of the card twist and turn out when you open the card. It is so stinking cute!
Supplies, Instructions, and Measurements for the Double Pop Up Card
- Playing in the Rain Bundle* Purchase this before May 1 2023 and receive a 10% discount on the bundle.
Front of Card
- Layering Circles Dies
- Basic White (BW) Cardstock, Cut card base 8½ x 5½”, score at 4¼”.
- Night of Navy Cardstock: 5¼ x 4″.
- Using largest of Layering Circles Scalloped Circle, cut Night of Navy scalloped Circle.
- Rain or Shine Designer Series Specialty Paper, Cut to 3x 4¼”. Cut on diagonal from upper left to lower right.
- Stamp Bunny on BW cardstock from stamp set then using largest of smooth circles from Layering Circles Dies, cut out circle around bunny.
Inside of Card
- Raindrops Embossing Folder
- BW cardstock, 5½ x 5½”, score at 3″.
- Mat this with 2 pcs of Balmy Blue Cardstock cut to 5 3/8 x 2 7/8 and
5 3/8 x 2 3/8″. Before you attach to the basic white piece, run them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Raindrops Embossing Folder. - Stamp raindrops in Balmy Blue onto BW Cardstock pieces (5 x 2½ and 5 x 2″) Stamp sentiment onto larger piece. Layer these onto the Balmy blue cardstock. Set aside.
- Stamp clouds (Die cut) and turtle (color Turtle and punch out with 2″ circle) on BW scrap pieces
- Cut 2 BW pieces 2 3/8″ square.
- Cut 2 Balmy Blue squares at 2¼” and run through the raindrops embossing foler.
- Adhere BW onto Balmy Blue to BW.
- Glue clouds and turtle to these two squares. Don’t use dimensionals on these as the insides will be bulky enough without the added bulk of dimensionals.
- Adhere 5¼ x 4″ piece of Night of Navy onto the inside back of the card base.
- Mechanism: 5 3/8 x 2 3/8 piece of BW. Score at 1¼, 2½, 3¾, 5″
- On the end with the small tab score from the first score line diagonally to the third score line. Do the same the other way so you have an X. The center of the X should cross through the second score line.
- Mat this with 2 pcs of Balmy Blue Cardstock cut to 5 3/8 x 2 7/8 and
